State Fair Rodeo Information
State Fair Rodeo is THURSDAY – October 17th
This is High School ONLY
Arizona State Fair Grounds
1826 W McDowell Rd
Use the north side of the Fairgrounds off Encanto Blvd. Park in the North Lot See Map
You cannot put shavings down on the pavement, you may put mats down if you don’t want horses standing on pavement.
There is no parking for contestants in the arena area.
Contestants are free and will receive 1 extra wristband for a family member.
All other family members/friends need to enter between 12-1 to receive a stamp free of charge.
Check in opens at 11am
Grand Entry at 1:00 pm (Be lined up 10 minutes before 1:00)
Rodeo Starts immediatley following Grand Entry
We are asking all contestants to wear “PINK” for the cause.
If any parents/family members would also like to wear Pink in support, please do so.
Contestants: Please be in dress code the entire rodeo and remember you must have your back number on at all times.
Just remember this is only High School so events will run a little faster than a typical rodeo. Please be warmed up and ready.
The area to warm up and all around the arena will be really congested and tight fit, please be courtesous to others and respectful.

Just a little bit of information about Buckeye to hopefully make everyone’s arrival Thursday easier.
* All horses must be stalled (one horse per stall) no tie ups or portable panels
* When you pull in please pull into the first gate as we will have the second gate locked until Friday morning.
* Everyone will need to check in at the office which is right at the first gate to receive your stall numbers and dry camping passes or Rv and space numbers.
* We will have people in the Stall area to help you locate and unlock gates.
* Everyone will need to bring water buckets and a hose we no longer furnish hoses and the automatic waters have been taken out of the barns.
* Dry camping is $20 per day per family and RV spaces if you have one reserved is $35 per night. South Buckeye Equestrian Center still has some available if you need one send Tammy a text at 623-210-1197.
Books open at 6 PM rope at 7 PM
Pick one Draw one for $150 enter two times or draw up to four partners
4 steer average 75% payback handicapped 1 second per number max 3 seconds. Progressive after 1.
All entries for both the barrel race and the team roping are to be paid in cash and will be paid back in cash. If you have any questions about Stall’s dry camping RV spaces the barrel race or the team roping please text Tammy at 623-210-1197.

Check in is mandatory each weekend prior to competing. If you only compete on Saturday you may check in on Saturday, otherwise you will need to check in on Friday morning.
